Roberto Lovato, the author of "Unforgetting: A Memoir of Family, Migration, Gangs, and Revolution in the Americas," is a Salvadoran American who understands the complexities of both Salvadoran and American identities. His life has been shaped by experiences such as living through the emergence of MS-13 in California and participating in the resistance against U.S.-backed military forces during wartime in El Salvador. Today, Roberto shares his personal narratives and insights in his journalism and activism endeavors, including his book "Unforgetting."
